Mr. Peregrin White, the silversmith, resident of this city of rthe past 10 or 12 years, departed this life on Friday last. His remains were followed to their last resting place on Sunday afternoon by the Masonic Fraternity, the Odd Fellows and the Fire Department of the city, organizations with which he had been honorable connected. The Silver Band of the city also accompanied the procession.

Report of the Committtee on Resolutions to Montgomery Lodge No 50 Free & Accepted Masons.
"Brother PG White died at his residence in this city, Friday the 5th day of April 1872. He was born at Fort Ann, Washington COunty NY on 16 August 1819. He has been a member of this Lodge 7 years and 6 months. He was a true & devoted Mason a kind friend and good citizen. We shall greatly miss him in our circle as a friend, brother and neighbor.
Whereas, by one of the inscrutable decrees of Him who holds in His hands the destinies of all men, our worthy brother, PG White has been removed from our midst by death, therefore be it'
Resolved, that while we murmer not at the infinite wisdom which has decreed the stroke of death, we still mourn in sincereity for the loss of our brother.
Resolved, that we will cherish the memory of his modest virtues, his upright life, and his tender devotion to the institution of Masonry, which marked his coming in and going out among us.
Resolved, that to the widow we offer our sincerest condolence and sympathy, and assure her that while she has lost a kind husband, we beg to share the feelings of our loss and mingle our tears with hers.
Resolved, that as an outward expression of our sense of bereavement, the furniture and jewels of this Lodge be clothed with mourning for 30 days.
Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be signed by the officers of this Lodge and presented to the widow of the deceased and their publication be requestion in our city papers.

Another one in regards to him being the Past Grand.

At a meeting of Crawfordsville Lodge No 123 IOOF held in its Lodge room April 7, 1872, the following preamble and resolutions adopted. Whereas, it has pleased the All-Wise ruler of the universe to remove from our midst our worthy brother, Past Grand, PG White, therefore. Resolved, that we bow in humble submission to His will who is the maker and ruler of us all and who doeth all things well. That in the death of brother White this Lodge has lost one of its best members and if faults he had we bury them all beneath the clods that rest upon his bosom.  Resolved, that we tender to the widow of our deceased brother our heartfelt sympathy in this her hour of trouble. That this Lodge be draped in mourning for 30 years. That the Secretary of this Lodge be instructed to present to the widow of our deceased brother a copy of these resolutions and that The Star, Review and Journal of this city be furnished a copy with the request they publish the same.  TN Myers; EW Straight; T Buffington; WK Wallace, Committee.
